Company Overview:
Our client, a leading player in the oil and gas industry, is seeking a highly skilled FPSO Lead Static and Thermal Equipment Engineer to join their dynamic team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of Block 20/11, a fast-track project with a five-year timeline from farm-in to First Oil.
Role and Responsibilities:
As the FPSO Lead Static and Thermal Equipment Engineer, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating engineering activities related to static and thermal equipment. Your duties will include:
- Demonstrating exemplary behaviour in HSE tasks and implementing HSE requirements within the Project Engineering area.
- Supervising and coordinating static and thermal equipment engineering activities performed by the EPSCCs Contractor.
- Providing support, expertise, and contribution to static and thermal equipment discipline.
- Challenging and assessing the Contractor in value engineering exercises and promoting alternative designs to optimize cost, work, and schedule.
- Reviewing and commenting on engineering documents, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, FPSO Key Technical Requirements, and high HSE standards.
- Participating in 3D model reviews and ensuring proper implementation of findings in the Digital Twin setup process.
- Liaising with Head office experts on specific static and thermal subjects.
- Assisting in procurement activities and preparing deviation requests as necessary.
- Supporting Commissioning and Operations in activity preparation.
- Ensuring proper reporting and highlighting critical issues to the Engineering Manager.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you must have:
- Confirmed expertise in pressure vessels and fired equipment engineering activities in oil & gas projects.
- Expertise in steam systems, CCGT (Combined Cycle Gas Turbine), and PCHE (Printed Circuit Heat Exchanger).
- Rigorous and solution-oriented approach to task completion.
- Strong organization, communication, leadership, and transverse coordination skills.
- Fluency in English (mandatory), French language skills are a plus.
