Airswift is looking for a Lead Specialist (Operations Readiness) to work for a major LNG Client in Corpus Christi, TX, for an initial 1-year assignment.

This position is responsible for execution of assigned projects within the overall operations readiness program at the Corpus Christi Liquefaction (CCL) facility.  The core aim of this role includes ensuring all operations and maintenance objectives are achieved as the assets transition from commissioning through to operations.  The project engineer, operations readiness will help deliver sustainable, safe, and reliable operations as new assets are integrated into the existing brownfield operating facilities. 

A key component of operations readiness delivery will incorporate company’s core values: teamwork, respect, accountability, integrity, nimble and safety.  The candidate will have technical operations readiness, schedule management and data analysis aptitude with a proven ability to delivery projects within schedule.

 Responsibilities & Essential Duties:
  • Coordinates and facilitates the delivery of key projects and inputs into the strategic objectives of the operations readiness organization.
  • Manages all aspects of assigned projects with the operations readiness program with a focus on costs, schedule, safety and quality. 
  • Reports on project status, performance, constraints, and issue to assist the Lead Specialist, Operations Readiness in reporting of overall program readiness.
  • Works closely with the Operations Readiness Project Scheduler to assist with project updates and status reports. 
  • Leads small operations readiness projects such as spare parts assessments, procedure development and maintenance management system development.
  • Create, maintain, and administer automated progress dashboarding reports for regular reporting of overall Operations Readiness progress.
  • Develop, maintain, and carry continuous primavera schedule continuous improvement to ensure the appropriate levels of structure is applied for effective progress reporting.
  • Forms part of the operations readiness project management team (PMT) and leads the coordination of production, maintenance, engineering, supply chain, health & safety, commissioning, and other support functions deliverables.
  • Interface across a multi-discipline team of engineers, operations, and maintainers to achiever operations readiness project goals. 
  • Assist in the identification of Operations Readiness Risk, Issues, Change, Decision and Action items as well as assisting the team to achieve closure on all items.
  • Assist in the identification of program continuous improvement initiatives.

Knowledge and Skills:

The individual will have a broad understanding of operations readiness programs and the transition of assets from the design phase into operations. This role requires a good understanding of the integration of new operations in an existing brownfield operating facility and can identify key risk and opportunities related to such as program.  The right candidate will have experience working in an operations readiness or operations support role as part of a capital project development.  This role will require working knowledge in completion of operations spares parts reviews, maintenance management system development and the creation of operations procedures. Experience in a facility operating engineering/project delivery role would be an advantage. 

Experience:
Five (5) to Seven (7) years’ experience as a Project Engineer or Site Operations Engineer out of which minimum of three (3) years’ experience shall be within an operations readiness project in sectors such as oil refining, petrochemical or specialty chemical plant, midstream storage or LNG facility. Recent experience with LNG is preferred, however, refining, petrochemical, NGL, cryogenic natural gas processing, or other hydrocarbon processing experience may be acceptable.
 
Skills:
  • Intermediate to advanced level in the use of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Access, Project and PowerPoint.
  • Intermediate to advanced level in the use of Primavera P6 scheduling
  • Intermediate PowerBi skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management and coordination skills
  • An acute sensitivity to safety issues in a hazardous environment.
  • Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. 
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of an organization and with individuals and groups from different disciplines, industries and governmental agencies.
  • Able to work with a culturally diverse group of technical individuals whose skills cover the range required to engineer, operate and maintain the LNG terminal and Liquefaction production facilities.
  • Possess the personality and ability to relate to and to establish a mutually respectful relationship with 1) management, 2) peers and 3) the various facility level workers (Plant Manager, plant supervision and plant workers) whom are all responsible for ensuring good operations.
  • Organized, planning skills, able to manage multiple activities and programs in timely fashion and with a high degree of accuracy, able to meet work deadlines. 
  • Exceptional problem solving and analytical skills. 
 Qualifications: 
  • Preferred Engineering degree in engineering in process, chemical, mechanical, or electrical disciplines or 5-7 years’ experience in Oil & Gas operations and a preferred exposure to Operations Readiness.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) qualification is a preference.
