The role:
As a Naval Architect/Designer, your role involves developing technical specifications and creating designs. You will be responsible for various calculations, including stability, speed-power/resistance, weight control, and hydro-structural analyses. You will also produce 2D drawings and 3D models. Your involvement spans the entire conceptual and basic design of various vessels, and you will conduct inclining tests, deadweight surveys, and on-board laser scans.

Responsibilities:

Develop technical specifications and designs for complex maritime projects.
Perform various calculations, including stability, speed-power/resistance, and weight control.
Create 2D drawings and 3D models.
Lead and coordinate large and complex maritime projects.

A minimum of 5 years of work experience and specialized knowledge of concept and basic design.
A passion for diverse projects, whether they involve submarines, floating offshore units, or special ships.
Strong organizational skills to manage large and complex maritime projects.
Active involvement in staying updated on the latest industry developments and contributing to the company's growth in this dynamic field.

Airswift has been tasked by one of our key clients to seek a Contract Advisor to join them in London, UK on a 1-year renewable contract.
Main accountabilities and responsibilities:
• Review and qualify or draft different types of contracts, including but not limited to: engineering, procurement, Construction, (EPC) transportation and installation, service contracts, as well as associated confidentiality agreements, non-disclosure and restrictive use agreements; partnership/consortium/joint venture/alliance agreements, subcontract agreements;
• Manage the workload in coordination with Tendering/Commercial, Project Management and Procurement functions, collecting the inputs from the other functions, including Insurance, Tax and Finance;
• Prepare Contract Summaries on tender/project specific basis;
• Advise Company and Corporate Management on the main contractual risks, identifying and proposing contractual mitigation actions;
• Participate in meetings (with internal clients, external clients, partners and subcontractors), negotiating, taking notes and preparing summaries and/or Minutes of Meeting;
• Negotiate the contractual instruments with the counterparties in the best interests of the Company and in accordance with Company risk policies;
• Support the Project Management teams in the determination of claims and contract management strategies , in the preparation and evaluation of variation order requests, and in the drafting of key project correspondence towards clients, major subcontractors and/or other interfacing third parties ;
• Support the Procurement function in the review of subcontracts and purchase orders;
• Draft all related legal instruments and correspondence;
• Have knowledge of the industry standard contracts (FIDIC, LOGIC, BIMCO, IOCs’ etc.);
• Assist in the resolution of legal and contractual matters, in coordination with the relevant Corporate functions.
• Regularly report to the Company and Corporate Management on the Contract Management activities.
Requirements:
• Knowledge and experience of English Law;
• Proven experience of reviewing and advising on tendering contracts and of administrating project contracts and effective negotiation skills are essential;
• Proven experience negotiating and executing offshore construction contracts
• Strong commercial awareness;
• International mobility both for short missions and potentially for long-term assignments.
