Airswift has been tasked by one of our key clients to seek a Project Controls Specialist to join them in London or Sandton on a 12-month renewable contract.

Main accountabilities and responsibilities:

Execution alignment to a holistic sourcing plan and bespoke creation of sourcing plans where required in support of technical and support needs for rigs, drilling, completions, well services and support contracts;
Market reviews, creation of prequalification and tender lists, prequalification and tender evaluation plans;
Development of robust commercial models to evaluate and employ in tenders and contracts;
Tender creation, dissemination, control, evaluation and effective award documents for approval;
Controlled change management based on changing well design needs and contractual validity;
Ability to work without supervision in a highly demanding specialised engineering environment;
Conduct tenders in a professional manner including capability of material contract exceptions closure in accordance with guidelines and work instructions;
Ensure stakeholder alignment for regulatory and licence partner communication;
Executing local content requirements where and when necessary, notably through setting scopes aside for Mozambique owned companies;
Capable of understanding sourcing process control including compliance and governance;
Capable of influencing the Business where there is insufficient clarity of need and aggregation/disaggregation to increase business leverage;
Participate in post award contract management and supplier Business Performance Review (BPR);
Assist in demand planning and managing the tender tracking meetings to align key stakeholders who generate business needs;
Maintain a rigorous governance framework and ensure full compliance with supply chain governance. Take immediate corrective action for all non-compliance;
Stakeholder management (internal, government and partners, service providers and suppliers); and
Drive opportunities for continuous spend optimisation.

Requirements:

Education: Relevant Technical, Legal or Commercial higher education degree (preferably Post Graduate) / Master of Business Administration (MBA) will be an advantage
Experience: 15+ years of relevant experience within a similar role. Multiregional business experience (Mozambique or rest of Africa experience will be an advantage)

Requirements:

Minimum an Engineering Degree with minimum over 8years of Operational/ Production Management experience within the Aircraft Component MRO Industry.
Strong understanding of Aerospace business will be highly sought after.
Successful delivery track record managing multiple high volume, high mix production line will be advantageous.
Effective communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders across all levels.
In-depth knowledge of Lean principles tools and improvement techniques coupled with a proven track record of implementing.

Job Responsibilities:

Work closely with payroll vendor to ensure our payroll vendor has processed the monthly payroll and prepared the reports timely and accurately.
Reviewed the work done by payroll including checking new hire data entry, updates of in-service changes, final payment calculation and filing of the documentation, etc.
Ensure all the process fulfil the audit and compliance requirement in accordance with the SOP.
Prepare required monthly reports and upload to global P&O portal or share with related parties.
Handle monthly benefits administration such as medical enrollment, amendment and termination.
Work injury case handling: prepare AME for WICA case submission; liaise with employee via Business Partner on required claim document for claims submission and arrange payment/reimbursement to employee or related parties.
Support annual bonus and salary review exercise.
Compile statistics and generate reports for management information, as and when required.
Participate in compensation and benefits surveys.

Requirements:

Diploma or Degree in relevant studies
Minimum 5 years of experience in payroll operation in a manufacturing, logistics or equivalent environment
Handled payroll portfolio with at least 300-500 headcount including blue-collar employees / OT-payable employees
Strong knowledge of the local labour laws especially the Employment Act and the CPF Act
Strong MS Excel skills preferred Basic to intermediate-level knowledge (e.g. Vlookup, multi-level sorting)
Self-starter who is able to work independently with minimal supervision or guidance
Strong knowledge of attendance system module as well as shift setup is an added advantage

Lead Technical Electrical Engineer

We’re looking for a Lead Technical Electrical Engineer to join our Perth team.
As a Lead Technical Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible to drive and deliver safe and sustainable ‘fit for purpose’ electrical engineering services for the Resources Portfolio group. You may be working on multiple projects dependent on their size across various Resource clients.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Deliver discipline specific engineering services that meet the client’s and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
Perform and/or manage discipline specific engineering services such as:
- Prepare/assist and as required oversee the production of engineering calculations, drawings and documentation;
- Ensure all deliverables are checked in accordance with client's checking procedures;
- Attend site visits as required;
- Facilitate and/or contribute to discipline Safety in Design risk assessment for each project;
- Participate in project reviews, HAZIDs/HAZOPs and safety in design workshops;
- Initiate, manage and supervise, engineering assignments with the head office team and Workshare team.
Prepare engineering estimates for the electrical discipline in response to requests for quotation:
- Scope engineering requirement;
- Detail methodologies and/or engineering tasks in scope and those out of scope;
- Clarify and detail assumptions, exclusions, rely upon information and deliverables list;
- Input into the schedule incorporating a realistic delivery sequence for the discipline with consideration to project milestones; input from other disciplines and receival of rely on information; and
- Ascertaining resources required based on availability.
In a project lead capacity:
- Manage sequence of engineering tasks at a high level to ensure deliver according to project schedules (including activities by third party contractors).
- Primary interface with customer for discipline-specific engineering issues.
- Ensure technical integrity of the discipline’s deliverables through the implementation of checking and design review activities.
- Provide technical direction, control and supervision for engineering and design on the project.
- Deliver the discipline’s design deliverables within schedule and budget.
- Maintain discipline task and deliverables lists for the project.
- Manage quality and consistency within the discipline.
- Coordinate change control and technical query process within the discipline.
- Manage discipline resources assigned to the project.
- Report progress of discipline deliverables.
- Resolve discipline technical issues.
- Maintain discipline files and follow the client's processes.
- Coordinate design with other disciplines and squad checking deliverables.
Communicate effectively and regularly with the project stakeholders including the Discipline Team Lead, Workshare team, Client and Project Engineer/Manager on design progress, budget, technical matters, quality, and resource planning.
Establish relationship and manage packages and/or interfacing with installation contractors, sub-contractors, vendors, site team and client.
Undertake and/or support engineering design and technical verification of discipline project deliverables by others.
Proactively seek an understanding of the safety hazards and risks associated with the asset lifecycle of the designed product, plant or structure; be responsible for action and close out where relevant.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

An Australian recognised 4 year Bachelor qualification in Electrical and or Power Engineering.
Extensive years of experience on resource projects or similar and relevant years of experience working on Australian projects.
Experience across all phases of engineering projects from order of magnitude, conceptual, feasibility through to detailed design and execution and full understanding of deliverables required.
Must understand and uphold sustainable engineering through asset lifecycle.
Must have ability to work across multiple projects.
Strong technical experience in:
- Brownfield interfaces;
- HV and LV systems;
- AC and DC systems;
- Power distribution;
- Electrical calculations required for design;
- Power system studies (inc. load flow, fault level voltage and motor starting analysis) and protection coordination;
- Earthing, arc flash and lightning studies and design;
- Creation of design drawings such as SLDs, schematics, terminations, schedules, layouts;
- Site experience such as scoping solutions, condition assessments, construction and commissioning;
- Very good understanding of constructability, maintainability and operability aspects;
- Equipment inspections, witnessing FATs, SATs;
- Preparing ITPs, MTOs, datasheets, specifications, construction methodologies, philosophy documents, procurement and construction scope of works;
- Input into electrical estimates and execution schedules for FID; and
- Control system interfacing and instrumentation Shutdown planning.
Highly effective organisational skills is a must including the ability to plan, set goals, prioritise, set accountabilities, manage schedule and budget.
Highly effective verbal and written communication skills is a must including the ability to convey information and ideas to individuals and groups and effective technical document writing and grammar skills.
