Position: Process Safety Engineer (m/w/d)
Location: Cologne, Germany
Contract: 12 months (with potential for extension or rollover to client)

As a Process Safety Engineer, you will play a critical role in integrating safety considerations into the very fabric of our projects. Responsibilities:
Collaborate with project teams to embed safety principles into every stage of the design process.
Conduct thorough hazard analyses, including HAZOP, LOPA, HAZID, What-IF, FMEA, and SIL assessments.
- Lead discussions and workshops to identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Evaluate design options to optimize safety while maintaining project objectives.
- Act as a liaison between engineering, operations, and safety teams to ensure alignment.
- Provide expert guidance on process safety standards and best practices.
- Champion a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent field.
- Proven experience in process safety engineering within the petrochemical or related industry in Germany.
- In-depth knowledge of Seveso, health & safety, and environmental regulations.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to influence stakeholders and drive change.
- Proficiency in German and English (mandatory!).
- Valid driver's license.
- Willingness to work in the office at least three days per week.
