Job Overview

Our client is seeking a Project Engineer - Renewables to work within their facilities located in Perth, WA on a 12-month initial contract.

This Renewable Project entails the unique challenge of repurposing an existing refining infrastructure into an integrated energy hub for the production of sustainable fuels, such as Sustainable Aviation Fuel and Renewable Diesel. Our global clients aspire to achieve net zero status by 2050, or even earlier, with the overarching goal of contributing to the global transition to a net zero world.

Located in the Perth office, this role within the project team offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with a high-performing and driven team in order to achieve project objectives. Your responsibilities will involve facilitating the seamless integration of various engineering disciplines, project stakeholders, and subject matter experts.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Prioritize HSE in the design and procurement process for OHSE compliance.

  • Build and maintain client relationships, resolving project issues as they arise.

  • Ensure Work Program Management Process (WPMP) and contract compliance, managing change effectively.

  • Monitor project costs, forecast final expenses, and prevent overruns proactively.

  • Maintaining transparent and efficient communication with the design team, third-party collaborators, and providing accurate and effective reporting to the project manager.

  • Establishing well-defined objectives for the design team and adeptly managing inter-discipline interactions.

  • Assist in procurement to meet specifications, on-time delivery, and budget constraints.

 

What you will bring

  • A recognized engineering degree in the relevant field or its equivalent.

  • Preferred qualification as a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng).

  • Demonstrated technical, practical, and leadership experience in the relevant discipline, including leading a design group.

  • Strong team-player with exceptional stakeholder management skills.

  • Previous experience within an engineering company is advantageous.
