Airswift is looking for a Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to support on multiples projects with one of our top clients within the chemical industry on an ongoing contract in Houston, TX.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs incident investigations using cross-functional teams to interview witnesses, review procedures/regulations, gather timelines, and observe the scene. Then, determine causal factors and recommend corrective/preventative actions.
  • Supporting the preparation of incident / work process deviation investigation reports and action plans.
  • Providing technical assistance and training in incident / work process deviation investigation to line management and subcontractors.
  • Develop and monitor corrective actions; develop, monitor, and/or support other programs, policies, and initiatives to enhance Project Execution performance.
  • Coordinate in-depth incident / work process deviation reviews with the applicable departments to share findings and knowledge from open investigations. Formally distribute findings and action items.
  • Coaching others, through participation in investigations, on the best practices and approach/methods taken to evaluate/categorize and appropriately report incidents.
  • Investigate incidents / work process deviation, especially ones with high consequences and understand the hazards related to industrial facilities and their relevant controls.
  • Support investigation teams by ensuring proper investigation techniques are understood and used.
  • Conduct through investigations using appropriate investigative tools for the incident / work process deviation in question. Understand incident causation and impact of human factors.
  • Develop and/or thoroughly review all draft incident / work process deviation investigation reports and complete all stages of review.
  • Identify recommendations that should be shared globally for corporate wide implementation.
  • Develop lessons learned and safety alerts/bulletins to communicate actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Educate employees, contractors, and others, to ensure timely communication of lessons learned.
  • Develop and review corporate safety guidance on incident / work process deviation investigations.

Education and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or environmental Science, Data Science, Occupational Safety, or related field.
  • Good English skills (reading, writing, & speaking).
  • Proven experience in data analysis and reporting.
  • Knowledge of EHS regulations and standards.
  • Proficiency in RCA analysis software
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a team and collaborate with different stakeholders.
