Our client seeks an experienced Senior Installation Analysis Engineer to join their office in Paris, France.

JOB DESCRIPTION:


The mission

The applicant will contribute to our projects, tenders or FEEDs.
The engineer will produce reports, calculation notes or other technical documentation, in compliance with Company’s specifications, standards and guidelines, complying with the project schedule:
  • Collecting required input data or managing related interface requests;
  • Performing required installation analyses;
  • Sharing intermediate results and conclusions by dedicated presentations/meetings.
  • The engineer may be asked to provide guidance to junior engineers (models checking, reports reviewing, etc).
  • The engineer may relate with:
  • The installation analysis lead engineer;
  • The installation engineering manager;
  • The project engineering manager / technical manager;
  • The installation analysis department manager/deputy manager.
  • The engineer may interface with all relevant disciplines, attending:
  • Technical review meeting (concerning procurement, engineering, operations, etc…);
  • Constructability review / HAZID;
  • Installation analysis weekly meeting.
Experience:
  • The applicant has at least 4- or 5-years installation analysis experience within one or more Oil & Gas main contractors (Subsea 7, TechnipFMC, Allseas, McDermott, etc).
Hard Skills:
The applicant has an engineering background covering one of more of the following disciplines:
  • Mechanics;
  • Fluid Mechanics;
  • Naval Architecture;
  • Numerical simulations;
  • Programming (preferably python & visual basic, Matlab, Mathcad).
  • The engineer will adapt the complexity of the numerical model to the complexity of engineering problem to be solved.
  • The engineer is comfortable with simple analytical models to capture the order of magnitudes of the expected results.
  • The engineer knows main installation analysis standards (DNV, API, etc).
The engineer is familiar with main installation methodologies covering:
  • Rigid pipe-lay (J-lay, Reel-Lay);
  • Umbilicals & flexibles pipes;
  • Lifting operations.
  • The engineer is familiar with main assets to perform above mentioned operations (marine spread, lay systems, cranes, etc…).
  • OrcaFlex mastery is mandatory.
  • OrcaWave or other seakeeping tool mastery would be appreciated.

The applicant is willing to work in an international & multi-cultural environment.
  • The engineer is/has:
  • Team spirit.
  • Good communicator.
  • Rigorous.
  • Pro-active.
  • Curious.
  • The engineer has a strong problem-solving and results-oriented attitude.
  • English mastery (conversation, reading & writing) is mandatory.
  • Previous experience as team lead would be appreciated.
Other:
  • The applicant is keen to support the offshore operations on-board of company’s installation vessels.
  • Typical mission duration is 1-off month.
  • The engineer has a valid medical fitness & BOSIET certificate.
