Due to ongoing demand, we are currently seeking a Senior Project Team Lead to join our clients high-performing team based at their facilities located in Wagerup, WA. This exciting opportunity offers a 12-month initial contract and will be focused on assisting in the successful delivery of various Brownfield upgrade projects on a major refinery operation.
As a Senior Project Team Lead, you will work with a high-performance and motivated team to achieve project objectives, supporting integration between engineering disciplines, project parties, and subject matter experts. After settling into the role, there is potential to negotiate a hybrid working arrangement.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a focus on Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) within the team to ensure OHSE requirements are integrated into design and procurement processes.
  • Establish, maintain, and build healthy client relationships, resolving project issues with the client as they arise.
  • Ensure compliance with Work Package Management Plan (WPMP) and contract requirements, applying effective change control processes.
  • Monitor project costs within direct control, forecast final costs, identify trends and take action to avoid cost overruns.
  • Communicate effectively and clearly with the design team and third parties, providing accurate and effective reporting to the project manager.
  • Set clear objectives for the design team and manage inter-discipline interfaces effectively.
  • Assist with the procurement process throughout the project to ensure goods meet specifications, are delivered on time and within budget.
About You:
To be considered for this role, it is envisaged that you will possess the following attributes:
  • A recognized mechanical engineering degree.
  • Previous technical, practical, and leadership experience in mechanical engineering within a Brownfields environment, with proven experience in leading.
  • An enthusiastic team player with excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in phase gate delivery.
  • Understanding of multidisciplinary engineering projects.
  • Experience in refining and process engineering.
