Our client seeks a Senior Structural Engineer to work with their Perth based team. Working for a leading EPCM to a Tier 1 Mining client.
 
  • Hands-on role, working with an established project team
  • Detailed design - heavy steel & concrete structures (Modular Construction)
  • High profile client - global operator

Our client is proud to be partnering with a Tier 1 Mining client on their first major wet processing facility for WA Iron Ore Operations in more than four decades. They are undertaking detailed design and engineering all the way through to approval for construction.
This could be your chance to make valued contributions towards endeavours to lift ore quality and reduce carbon emissions.
The new processing facility includes wet screening, desliming, dewatering belt filters, thickeners and a tailings delivery system.
Supported by a Lead Engineer and Designer, we’ll be asking you to play a valued role in taking all preliminary study designs through to full completion over the next 12 – 18 months.
With a focus on detailed structural analysis and design, you’ll also be:
  • Exploring and designing solutions in line with client requirements, industry and safety standards.
  • Supporting some procurement activities.
  • Working closely with a structural engineering & design team of more than 10 (across wet plant).
As a Senior Engineer, we’ll trust and empower you to guide others through technical challenges, identify workable solutions and mentor your way. You'll also be playing a valued role to help ensure we meet contractual requirements, manage risks and set high standards.
About you:
  • Bachelor Degree – Structural Engineering (recognised by Engineers Australia).
  • Senior level experience in a hands-on engineering design setting.
  • Working knowledge of materials handling and heavy structures (offshore modular fabrication & construction).
  • Familiarity with Space Gass and LIMCON or RAM connections.
  • The ability to influence, negotiate & build productive relationships.
  • Willingness to follow client procedures & respond to changes on short notice.
  • A keen eye for detail & a knack for problem-solving.
  • Current right to work in Australia.
