The role:
Our client, a leading global chemicals company in Limburg, is seeking a Static Equipment Maintenance Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the compliance of legal 'static' inspections, overseeing maintenance repair plans, and actively participating in various technical meetings to optimize plant operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Specify and scope legal 'static' inspections, ensuring timely delivery to maintenance management via SAP notifications.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable engineering requirements and practices.
  • Verify executed preventive work/documentation meets regulations and legal requirements.
  • Deliver maintenance repair plans for first-line troubleshooting from legal inspections, including multidisciplinary issues, and involve other specialists as necessary.
  • Lead small modification projects and act as project responsible in the Management of Change process.
  • Collaborate with other Static Engineers to optimize preventive maintenance plans and costs.
  • Participate in scoping team meetings and contribute to Turn Around 'preventive legal static' scope.
  • Act as a member of the mechanical engineering team during turnarounds.
  • Attend various technical meetings, such as plant static technical meetings, and contribute expertise.
  • Collaborate with Technical colleagues to define necessary replacement and improvement projects.
  • Lead evaluations of executed maintenance work to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Participate in hazard reviews (SA, PHR, JSA, TRA) and root cause analysis when applicable.
  • Manage 'static' materials within the defined area as the material owner.

Qualifications:

  • Mechanical MBO+/HBO degree or equivalent.
  • Several years of relevant static (inspection & repair) experience in the chemical industry, preferably in a BRZO environment.
  • Strong technical and professional knowledge with analytical skills.
  • Decision-making ability and stress tolerance.
  • Quality awareness and commitment to safety.
  • Ability to build positive working relationships.
  • Proficient in overview, communication, organization, and planning.
  • Continuous improvement mindset.
  • Knowledge of SAP (PM).
  • Fluence in Dutch and English.
