Case Study
Our client, one of the world’s largest mining and mineral processing businesses, were in the process of creating a Centre of Excellence (COE) in Montreal with the goal to develop and improve strategy, procedures and practices across Process, Process Safety, Process Controls, Process Operability, Reliability and Process Technology.
Our client's senior leadership identified a need for more Process Safety Management (PSM) expertise at corporate levels in order to develop and drive PSM implementation, but did not have the necessary PSM expertise internally to be able to adequately build out a Process Safety Group internally.
The Process Safety Managers needed for the COE required high levels of technical expertise and PSM implementation, the ability to communicate and drive change across all levels of operations, and be based in Montreal with ability to travel to remote areas. Due to the timescales, candidates had to have the current right to work in Canada, which reduced the available talent pool.
Airswift was approached to help with the identification of qualified PSM professionals. After an in depth consultation on the challenges associated with these requirements, Airswift proposed an Engaged Search model and mapped out talent to help identify all relevant PSM professionals across Canada, and multiple industries with supporting data including salary information and employer perception.
