Our client is seeking a Planning & Scheduling Engineer to work within their facilities in Melbourne. Please see details as below 
 

Title: Planning & Scheduling Engineer

Start Date: Negotiable 

Employment Type: 2 years contract  

Location: Melbourne 

Working Schedule: Monday – Friday (8 hours per day)   

 

DESCRIPTION

  • The Planning and Scheduling Engineer (PE) is responsible for the Project Schedule and all aspects of the Progress Measurement System. This includes day-to-day activities for the development, maintaining, monitoring, controlling and integrating of the overall Project schedule including putting in place the progress measurement system, verification and reporting. The PE reviews Contractor Schedules for usefulness, logic, level of detail, input sources, timing, lines of communication, and interfaces with other project elements and consistency with Current Control Estimate, Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), and the Project Plan. The PE also establishes the schedule requirements and frequencies of issue for all of the contractor schedule deliverables. The PE strives for timely detection of trends and specifically deviations from the plan.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supporting the Project Team with ongoing project schedule analysis, reporting, and forecasting activities
  • Develop and document Schedules annual and multi-year, and ensuring that these products reflect the approved project design/execution scope 
  • Analyze schedule trends, develop and review schedule forecasts
  • Monitor and report on schedule implications of changes
  • Prepares and compiles weekly and monthly Reports (schedule & progress) as required.
  • Participate in developing Contract Control Schedules and Milestones
  • Participate in contract bid evaluations (as required)
  • Responds to ad hoc requests from Project Management Team (PMT) related to Project Controls/Reporting
  • Participates in gathering and recording Lessons Learned for the project that relate to progress and schedule areas

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors of Science Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Construction Management
  • 7-10 years of project controls experience focused on planning and schedule control
  • Technical discipline certifications commensurate with work experience
  • Willing to work overseas in a team environment
  • Willing to relocate to required project site
  • Strong Influencing, Consulting, Mentoring, Analytical, and Computing skills
  • Adaptability to changing priorities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Description:

HSE Specialist – Environment who will be the focal point for environment at the LNG facility. This is a residential position based in Onslow. Additionally, the HSE Specialist will be:

• Providing practical environmental guidance to LNG site team (frontline teams, leaders and Business Partners) with a focus on compliance with environmental regulatory requirements and driving environmental performance improvement using Human and Organisational Performance (HOP) principles
• Undertaking field-based safeguard assurance verification and validation activities
• Supporting site based environmental activities including dangerous goods management, waste and environmental sampling as required, fauna management as well as basic Health and Safety field-based support from time to time.
• Building productive working relationships across HSE, Business Partners and other Perth and field based support teams to facilitate alignment and execution efficiency of environmental activities, safeguards and processes
• Facilitating incident investigations and learning events using approved Incident investigation methodologies
• Acting as member of the site Emergency Management Team, including participation in emergency management exercises and emergency response.

Accountabilities
  • Organise and drive budget elaboration in conjunction with budget holders for Technical budgets (Drilling, Logistics, Geosciences, Development/Project activities, etc.) as well as running cost budgets.

  • Good knowledge of FI/CO/MM/JVA domains of SAP software.

Position General Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 20+ years of experience in the chemical or petroleum industry.
  • Experience in power study, coordination study, and arc flash study utilizing EasyPower or similar software tools.

The Facilities Engineer will provide technical support to operations for surface facilities within Permian Basin. They will be assigned to a field area in the Permian Basin and will be responsible for operations support and project execution (Brownfield and Greenfield projects).
  • Operations support includes facilities surveillance, troubleshooting and debottlenecking. Design and execution of brownfield projects to optimize the facilities.
  • Project execution includes self-performing design and procurement. Work closely with construction organization to build and commission facilities. Ensure work is being executed in accordance with company specifications, company standards, and regulatory requirements. Projects are typically initiated to mitigate a safety risk, address a regulatory need, increase capacity or reduce downtime of the facility.

Provides complex and diverse assurance tasks to inform business decision making, meet governance obligations and deliver successful outcomes to the project.

 

Specific Roles & Responsibilities

 

Responsibilities will include:

  • Provide hands on advice and support to successful project set up and deliver the assurance requirements throughout the life of the project, escalating any risks to the Project Quality Manager and Assurance Manager.
  • Develop, agree and maintain the EACOP Project Assurance Plan
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with key stakeholder / local customer counterparts and project personnel.  Seek to learn and build understanding of local customer objectives, share insight and influence action.
  • Assist the project with implementation of assurance, risk and sustainability plans, processes, programs and tools, supporting preventive action management processes and corrective actions, including co-ordinating local campaigns and delivering training on assurance programs, systems and associated business processes as required.
  • Challenge and influence stakeholders to apply human performance and bold ways of working, including facilitating micro experiments in projects. Assist with investigating events and lessons learned workshops.
  • Participate in operational meetings, including Project Quality Co-ordination Meetings, Risk Reviews, Project Status Reviews etc.

Job Purpose

  • Accountable for implementation and maintenance of the Project Interface Management processes and tools.

  • Follow up and support of Master Interface Register and Schedule contained within Interface Management, with focus on maintaining the accuracy of the Master Interface Register.

  • Support all Engineering Contractors and Fabricators in successful coordination of Interface points and interface queries.

  • Monitor, advise and ensure report on progress of Interface queries and interface points are produced on a regular basis.

  • Support contractors’ engineering groups in identification of technical interface issues identified in Aramco contractor engineering meeting.

Job Purpose

Carry out Planning and Scheduling functions in accordance with Saudi Aramco standards.   • Assist in the technical evaluation of contracts relative to their expertise in planning and scheduling and analyze in detail performance reports.
  • Evaluate the planning and scheduling information collected from Project Management Teams or contractors and advise management of exceptions to the plan and potential corrective action and/or impact to the project.
  • Provide staff assistance in the preparation and maintenance of the Master Scheduling System in support of the capital program planning effort and/or other planning and scheduling reports, procedures and services.
