Case Study
Our client in eastern France manages the world’s largest production site of Adiponitrile (ADN). They conducted a planned maintenance turnaround at the site in Chalampé, France, from September to December 2019.
This turnaround enabled the client to perform preventive maintenance and inspection work to comply with regulatory requirements and implement investment projects to enhance competitiveness, safety and environmental performance in the long term.
The most significant investment (250M€) completed during this turnaround was the project to install the clients advanced ADN production technology at their facility, a 50/50 joint venture.
Due to the nature of turnaround projects, the client identified a need to recruit and mobilise the entire turnaround workforce quickly, compliantly and efficiently. Not only was it important to find personnel with relevant technical experience, but they also needed to speak French to a professional proficiency, be available to mobilise quickly
Airswift appointed a dedicated team of recruitment and delivery consultants led by an experienced client manager, to identify, qualify, screen, and onboard the large number of professionals required for the project. In order to adhere to the tight turnaround schedule, our dedicated team simplified the recruitment, on-boarding and off-boarding processes to improve efficiency without compromising quality.
Representatives from Airswift’s Service and Delivery teams visited the site in Chalampé to gain a deeper understanding of the project and its needs. Through our office in Paris, our Service teams made it possible to assist candidates from outside of the local area with travel and accommodation guidance.
Airswift has successfully placed 87 contract hires with the client on the project to support the Turnaround Coordination, Planning/Scheduling, Contracts, HSE, QA/QC, Inspection, Construction, Painting, Scaffolding & Insulation, Pre-commissioning & Commissioning, Completions & Hand Over, Mechanical & Piping, Electrical & Instrumentation, Civil & Structural Steel, Lifting & Rigging and Permit-to-Work departments respectively.
