Tasked with sourcing a specialist Umbilical Engineer for a high-profile deep offshore field development, we targeted professionals with extensive experience in flexibles, umbilicals, and DEH cable systems for subsea oil and gas projects. The client required a candidate to manage interface coordination, technical reviews, and the qualification of novel equipment during an intensive FEED phase.
We identified a senior engineer with over 15 years of subsea project expertise, fluency in English, and a solid background in international codes (API/ISO) and TotalEnergies specifications. This candidate’s advanced knowledge of pipeline electrical heating technologies and flexible pipe design, along with strong organisational and communication skills, made them ideal. They seamlessly integrated with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring timely delivery of engineering packages, resolving technical queries, and maintaining stringent compliance with HSE requirements. Their leadership and technical oversight were pivotal in de-risking project interfaces and supporting the successful transition to EPCI tendering.
We were engaged to source an experienced R&D Manager for a market leader in nonwoven materials, with responsibility for driving new product innovation across hygiene, filtration, and construction applications. The position required deep expertise in nonwoven manufacturing processes—spunmelt, spunbond, meltblown—and a proven record of leading multidisciplinary teams from concept through commercialisation.
Our executive search identified a candidate with over eight years’ R&D management experience and advanced degrees in Materials Science. The candidate demonstrated exceptional technical proficiency in polymer chemistry and fibre science, fluency in both German and English, and strong business acumen. They excelled in fostering collaboration, managing complex projects, and aligning R&D strategy with market needs. Since joining, they have accelerated the launch of new products, established robust cross-functional partnerships, and reinforced the company’s innovation pipeline, ultimately contributing to increased competitiveness and value creation for the business.
