This position will be responsible for designing and developing the mechanical systems on this Greenfield project and will work seamlessly alongside a high performing multidisciplined team.

The role will be offered a contract basis and be based out of their clients’ facilities located in Hazelmere, WA.

Key Responsibilities
  • Detailed Engineering Design: Interpret detailed electrical schematics and wiring diagrams and translate the information to 3D space.
  • Integration: Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, software, and systems engineers to integrate electrical systems seamlessly into the overall design.
  • Cost Management: Assist in cost estimation for components and systems, optimizing designs for cost-effectiveness while maintaining quality.
  • Testing and Troubleshooting: Participate in the testing and troubleshooting of mechanical systems, identifying and resolving issues during prototype and production phases.
  • CAD Proficiency: Utilise SolidWorks software proficiently for drafting, modelling, and creating 2D and 3D drawings.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, electrical engineers, software developers, and project managers to ensure project success.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all electrical & mechanical designs adhere to quality standards and are aligned with project objectives.
  • Fabrication drawing experience, experienced in production environments, and a good knowledge of fabrication and machining.

Qualifications And Experience
  • Mechanical engineering degree.               
  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in design & drafting in 2D and 3D space.
  • Exposure in designing at a concept level to quickly mock up designs, as well as full detailed design with full production and assembly detail.
  • Proficiency in Siemens NX preferable, otherwise SolidWorks and AutoCAD for mechanical design.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and practices.
  • Sound knowledge of Design for Manufacture & Design for Assembly.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and safety.
  • Ability to work autonomously.

The Automation Technician will assist in the design, will install and troubleshoot automation equipment and oversee instrumentation and control systems that sense, measure, and run operational processes within the Oooguruk Production/Utility Module. The technician will be Supporting the Automation Engineer with day to day troubleshooting of the DCS, stand-alone PLCs and other control systems as needed.

 

Essential Job Functions

· Diagnosis and repair automation and control Equipment of various types, including but not limited to DCS input/output modules, stand-alone PLC systems and associated communication equipment.

· Programming of PLC and DCS to support newly installed equipment as needed.

· Performs preventative, planned and unplanned maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on control systems, in both the office and field locations.

· Conduct routine preventative maintenance of automation and control equipment.

· Ensuring field devices, instrumentation systems, communication networks, data management and interfaces work properly.

· Execute software changes / modifications based on MOC needs and per Automaton Engineers instructions.

The SCADA/Automation Technician will be responsible for the maintenance and operation of the Bakken Asset SCADA system and Automated Facility Controls. This will be a field-based position and will require daily travel to field locations. The SCADA/Automation Technician works closely with production operations, I&E technicians, Engineering teams, and SCADA Administrators. The position reports to the Bakken Construction and Engineering organization.

Job Responsibilities:

  • The SCADA/Automation Technician will be responsible for understanding and implementing the complete automation scope of work on all facilities
  • Assist in leading a team during the commissioning of production facilities
  • Set clear HES performance expectations. Ensure all HES policies and procedures are understood and followed in the field
  • Conduct and document functional checkouts (FCO) on new and existing facilities and equipment, including MOC compliance.
  • Ability to safely make live field adjustments to ROC800/associated controllers based on current scope and updated C&E/Control narratives

Job requirements

Looking for candidates who have an MSc or BSc degree or equivalent (i.e. Professional Certification) in any field of Marine Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Higher Seafaring College or General Operational Technology (AOT).  

You have at least 2 years working experience in Marine Systems Engineering and Design (Preferably on Pre-FEED, FEED and Detailed phase).

Furthermore you have:

  • In-depth experience and sound technical knowledge in both conceptual and detailed design of (marine and production) systems on floating & production units (FSO's, FPSO's, Oil & Gas Carriers, Chemical Tankers, Drilling Units, Semi's, TLP) for the Oil & Gas Industry;
  • Good interface knowledge with related disciplines i.e. Naval, E&I, Piping, HVAC, Process, Technical Safety & Regulatory;

This includes all aspects of project implementation including budget, work package preparation, parts procurement, ALARA planning, industrial and nuclear safety, clearance order preparation, work prioritization, resource loading, risk management, and work execution including resolution of schedule delays and conflicts.
  • Develops the budgets, including tracking cost versus budget for assigned projects. Assures proper progress and focus through frequent interface with the client, engineers, related parties, and management. Develop and manage contracts and interface with vendors. Develops project schedules commensurate with project complexity and size with the goal of being able to manage risk, accurately track progress, enforce accountability, and manage critical path and float.
  • Mentors other less experienced project managers.
  • Prepare and deliver written and oral communications to various groups including senior management.
  • Develop and maintain long range plan strategies associated with assigned projects.
  • Support effective implementation of the Nuclear Station Self-Assessment and Corrective Action Program.
  • Support the Outage support including OCC

Required Skills:
  • Expert Panel Interview (oral board) Error reduction and human performance improvement methods, and cost-effective work execution methodologies. Managing complex projects, on-line work management, or refueling and forced outage related activities.
  • Advanced project management techniques at Commercial Nuclear Power Plants or similar facility.
  • Extensive work experience in the role of direct supervisor or project manager in the commercial nuclear industry environment, focused on maintenance, operations, engineering, or construction. (nice to have)
  • Nuclear plant operator production coordination experience, work management experience in conducting and coordinating plant production work. (nice to have)

Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, project management, business, or related field from accredited college or university and 20 years of experience in a technical field;
  • OR an AA/AS degree in engineering, construction management, project management, business, or related field from accredited college or university and 22 years of experience in a technical field;
  • OR a High School Diploma or GED and 24 years of experience in a technical field.
  • An advanced degree in a related field of study or business may be accepted in lieu of 2 years of experience.
  • RO/SRO License or CGS Management Certification is required.
  • Project Management certification is required.
  • Construction Management Cert (nice to have)

Airswift has been tasked by one of our major Upstream clients to seek a Completions Engineer to join their team in Spring, TX for an initial 12-month contract!
Schedule: 14/14 rotation
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare detailed engineering designs and coordinate all phases of planning and completing a well.
  • Ensure the geological and reservoir objectives of the well are met while assuring the highest standards of engineering integrity, safety, and environmental protection are applied to the well design and execution.
  • Prepare designs and well plans representing the optimal costs and investments for the wells.
  • In a Technical role, provide review and support to Drill team designs and operations , as well as evaluate and progress new technology.
  • Could include subsea technology.
  • Responsible for the development, review, and approval process associated with a comprehensive completions program.
  • Primarily responsible for: Preparation of cost estimates for selection of optimal alternatives
  • Material and equipment selection and evaluation.
  • Government regulatory requirements, approvals and permits.
  • Technical bid preparations and analysis.
  • Work closely with other groups to assure the program is based on all available geological and reservoir information and drilling information from other wells in the area.
  • Provide completion surveillance and engineering assessments and presents recommendations to Operations Superintendent on critical activities and problems.
  • Provide surveillance and technical assistance on development projects, equipment testing and new procedures.
Requirements:
  • BS degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
  • 5+ years of related experience.
  • Experience with data analytics, general understanding of operations and the ability to work with the team.
  • Knowledgeable and familiar with drill-out applications.
  • Broad and extensive knowledge of completions design, equipment, operations, standards and specifications.
  • Experience in the Permian area is a plus.
  • Strong personal effectiveness in leadership, communications, interpersonal skills, and teamwork.
