Our client is seeking a Chemical Technician to work within their facilities located in Jal, NM on a 12-month assignment (with the possibility of extension depending on performance).
As a Chemical Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of chemical programs and treatments, as well as the maintenance and setup of chemical pumping systems. You will work closely with chemical vendors, assist in the operation of H2S facilities, and ensure compliance with industry standards through regular audits.

Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot chemical pumping systems to ensure accurate and effective delivery of chemicals into the production process.
- Safely operate H2S (hydrogen sulfide) facilities, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and regulatory requirements to prevent exposure and incidents.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of chemical programs and downhole treatments, making recommendations for adjustments to optimize production and mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with chemical vendors to coordinate the delivery, handling, and application of chemicals, ensuring that all procedures are followed, and operations run smoothly.
- Conduct regular audits of chemical operations to verify compliance with safety and environmental standards, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring continuous operational integrity.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in chemical operations within the oil and gas industry.
