About our client and project

What you'll be doing
- Lead electrical and instrumentation engineering for assigned packages, ensuring scope and budget adherence.
- Embed hazard identification and safety management into design processes, upholding safety and environmental standards.
- Oversee design tasks including LV distribution, drives, control systems, and cross-discipline integration.
- Coordinate technical specifications, tendering, procurement, and contract administration for assigned packages.
- Manage cost control, planning, and reporting to align with project timelines and budgets.
- Provide technical support during construction and commissioning to ensure smooth execution.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve engineering issues and drive project success.
- Supervise and mentor junior engineers, draftspersons, and contractors throughout project phases.
- Ensure all engineering outputs meet Australian and international standards, with a focus on safety and quality.
What you'll need to succeed
- A minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering, specifically focusing on instrumentation and control systems. This experience should include designing, implementing, and troubleshooting complex control systems in an industrial setting.
- Proven ability to coordinate and manage all aspects of Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) engineering for specific package areas. This includes a ‘hands-on’ approach to executing tasks, ensuring that all engineering and design work is carried out to the highest standards.
- Extensive experience working with Blast Furnace and Raw Materials operations and equipment is essential.
