Airswift is seeking a Materials Coordinator to join one of our major Oil & Gas clients in Fort St. John, BC, on a 5/40 schedule. This is an initial 1-year contract with a huge possibility to be converted into an employee position.

Accountabilities
  • Material and Issuing includes document control of planned inventory transactions or direct purchase material.
  • Receiving material into the warehouse from vendors, contractors, and field returns. The receiving function includes validation of material against Purchase orders, packing slips, repair, and return documents.
  • Shipping material from the warehouse to service vendors, field installations, and off-site locations.
  • Directing the movement of purchased material to installation locations within the Montney field.
  • Material Coordination includes contacting recipients of material receipt and delivery to field locations.
  • General Warehouse Duties include maintaining a clean and orderly warehouse.
  • Safety Client’s Safety Culture
  • Maintaining warehouse transaction documentation
  • Maintaining organization of the Montney warehouse
  • Performing warehouse duties includes, but is not limited to, unpacking receipts, packing returns, packing goods issued, maintaining documentation and safety of material
  • Staged material control
  • Performing goods issues and receipts in SAP for all materials and tools that flow through the Montney warehouse (non-stock direct buys and inventory).
  • Purchased Inventory placement into designated bin location upon receipt completion.
  • Issuing Counters daily support
  • Warehouse security support
  • Maintaining a safe work environment
  • Warehouse activity compliance
  • Ensures that all required material handling equipment such as forklifts, dollies, carts, etc. are available and maintained in a safe operating condition.
  • Inventory Control - activities I.e. Cycle Counting 
  • Perform assignments or project-related work as required
     
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Standard Warehouse Processes
  • 4 -7 years of experience
  • Certifications: WHIMIS, H2S Awareness, Forklift operation
  • Understands advanced aspects of discipline and is viewed as an expert in a given field.
  • Applies a broad range of competencies to develop solutions to complex problems.
  • Influences others to achieve objectives.
  • Often provides specialized/technical/functional guidance to others within the department
  • Strong teamwork environment
  • Self-motivating, organizational skills, and attention to details
  • Strong communication & Leadership skills
  • Data analytics (Excel, SAP, GEP SMART)
  • Diverse learning requirements (process, product knowledge, technology, equipment operation)
  • Drive large trucks up to 1tn.
  • Oil & Gas Industry experience desired
  • Forklift Experience
Work Schedule
  • 5/40: 5 hours per day, 40 hours per week.
