Responsibilities:
- Coordinates and directs project, functional, business and other discipline support to ensure timely completion of reviews, resolution of technical queries and required actions.
- Monitors and reports progress of various execution planning activities and cost against agreed schedule and cost estimates.
- Monitors and appraises Contractor(s)' organization, planning, execution and controls, and drives improvement plans to close gaps in performance.
- Identifies project issues and executes/stewards appropriate actions to resolution.
- Coordinates and participates in project reviews and workshops (IPRs, CERs and Execution Challenges).
- Engages in the development of the Project Plan, SHE Plan and Participates in the development of Contracting/Procurement Strategies and is responsible for their implementation during the project execution.
- Supports the transition between project stages from pre-Gate 2 to closeout, ensuring compliance with the company’s standards and processes.
- Other duties as specified by the Project Manager to lead successful planning and delivery of the project against its objectives.
- BS or MS degree in engineering field.
- 7-10 years of related experience.
- Complex Revamp experience in petrochemicals is a plus.
- The candidate must have a strong understanding of project issues and their impacts, as well as effective strategies for mitigating risks to ensure smooth project progress.
- Proven experience in the construction and execution side of projects.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and how they apply to construction and project execution.
- Broad range of experience and skills through multiple function & project assignments (multi-discipline skill set)
- Broad knowledge of design standards, specifications & work processes
- Strong leadership, influencing & interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational, coordination, planning & interface skills
- Proficient in MS Office suite of software programs
