The scope of the project encompasses the installation of an offshore mooring system for a vessel in
shallow waters including Offshore transportation, Heavy lifting, flexible riser installation, foundation pile
drilling using RCD technic and precommissioning.
The Installation Engineering Manager has the responsibility to:
  • Supervise installation method team (Typically the team will be composed of two/three method leads assigned to each installation packages, draftsmen and analyst(s))
  • Define the list of installation engineering deliverables and evaluate the corresponding manhours.
  • Identity the required amount of qualified and experienced resources to be allocated within his area for the execution of the detailed engineering tacks.
  • Develop the detailed overall engineering schedule within the framework of the general schedule, control its progress and regularly report on it to the Project Engineering Manager.
  • Follow-up the development of the installation engineering deliverables and duly draw up the suggestions linked to installation of the works, as well as to fabrication and mechanical completion.
  • Organize and lead the installation / construction review meetings for installation engineering.
  • Supervise and control update of all installation engineering document.
  • Establish installation procedure with due knowledge of industry standard and Company specification and requirement, in agreement with the Project Engineering Manager and the Construction Manager.
  • Supervise, validate and approve calculation sheets specific to installation engineering issued by the task force.
  • Define the installation procedure in accordance with the Construction Manager requirement
  • Verify that installation procedures are neither dangerous, nor likely to endanger the health and safety of the personnel or the environment
  • Implement Quality Assurance principles and provisions and, in particular, check on the quality assurance of all documents issued under his responsibility.
