Our client, a major Oil and Gas company, is looking for a Project Manager to work on a 36-month assignment in Port Arthur, TX.


Summary:
The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in managing complex projects, from inception to completion, with a focus on EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) work.

This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional organizational and leadership skills to oversee projects with budgets ranging from several thousand to tens of millions of dollars.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, including scope definition, resource allocation, scheduling, and budgeting.
  • Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams to achieve project objectives within budget and timeline constraints.
  • Manage project risks, identify potential issues, and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Monitor project progress and performance, providing regular updates and reports.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage project procurement processes, including vendor selection and contract negotiation.
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to optimize project execution.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of project management experience in the petrochemical industry.
  • Proven track record of managing EPC projects with budgets ranging from several thousand to tens of millions of dollars.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., PMI, Agile).
  • Excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualification:
 
  • Experience with specific petrochemical processes and equipment.
