Senior Instrument Engineer

The role responsibilities include:
- Delivering discipline specific engineering services that meet company, its clients and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Undertake engineering design and technical verification (as required) of discipline project deliverables by others.?Initiate, manage and supervise engineering resources on projects to meet project requirements on time and within budget.
- Perform and/or manage discipline specific engineering activities such as:
- Ensure the project scopes are clear and that changes comply with project change management processes
- Produce or oversee production of project Engineering documentation such as datasheets, scopes of work, specifications, technical reports, work instructions, design drawings and calculations.
- Participate in relevant meetings, workshops, prepare/provide input to progress reports and follow required quality procedures
- Provide assistance and advice during procurement, construction and commissioning activities. For example, write requisitions and conduct technical bid evaluations.
- Estimate engineering hours for projects and track hours to approved budget.
- Design for appropriate levels of risk and be conscious of HSE input to all elements of the design.
- Actively contribute to the development and improvement of company design systems, processes, practices and procedures.
- Assist in scoping engineering requirements, methodologies and estimating engineering budget for proposals in response to requests for quotations from clients in liaison with the Bid Managers and other disciplines.?
- Communicate effectively and regularly with the project stakeholders/team including the Workshare team, Lead Engineer/Designer and Project Managers on design progress, budget, technical matters, workshare and resource planning.?
What you’ll have
To be considered for this role it is envisaged you will possess a combination of work experience, skills and or qualifications in the following areas:
- A recognised engineering degree in the relevant discipline or equivalent with eligibility for membership with Engineers Australia.
- Substantial technical and practical Brownfields experience in the relevant discipline in the same or similar industry, including experience in multi-disciplinary projects and teams.
- Hydrocarbons/LNG industry experience (highly desired).
- Extensive experience in working with diverse teams across multiple locations to deliver project outcomes (highly desired) including a keen interest in managing and coaching individuals to develop a high performing team.
- Current EEHA competency and FSEng qualifications would be desirable but not essential.
- Strong experience in client, inter-discipline and construction interface management
