Our client is seeking a SWD Operator to work within their facilities located in Douglas, WY for an initial 1-year contract (with possibility of extension).

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain compliance with HSE policies and demonstrate the ability to respond quickly and confidently to safety and environmental events.
  • Possess the right and obligation to stop work if unsafe conditions exist.
  • Perform operational checks of equipment and facilities.
  • Measure and record volumes. Ensure accuracy of data received and entered.
  • Coordinate truck offloads and input truck tickets.
  • Develop understanding of the operation of all equipment on assigned facility.
  • Identify issues and learn appropriate solutions under supervision while consulting with the appropriate Foreman.
  • Perform routine repairs and maintenance on all equipment. Communicate corrective maintenance needs if unable to complete on own.
  • Develop leadership skills and emotional intelligence while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Personal commitment to inclusion and diversity.
  • Assist the appropriate Foreman with minimizing LOE costs.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with government officials, landowners, and third-party contractors.
  • Take pride in personal appearance and the appearance of assigned locations and equipment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • May require the ability to pass a respiratory fit test
  • An acceptable pre-employment background and drug test

Preferred Qualifications

  • Housing within 50 miles of the assigned area of operation.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stoop, stand, walk, pull, carry instruments, and climb stairs and ladders for extended period of time.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to work overhead for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to perform fine manipulations with hands and fingers.
  • Capable of driving distances of 150 miles or more per day during all types of weather conditions.
  • Ability to one arm carry up to 25lbs. without assistance.
  • Regular bending, crouching, pulling, and kneeling to check equipment and gauges.
  • Must be able to exert up to 50lbs. of force occasionally and up to 20lbs. frequently to move or manipulate objects.
  • Ability to work significant amounts of time as required in completing job responsibilities.
  • Working environment includes exposure to extremely loud noises in field, hazardous chemicals, and hydrocarbons that may be under extreme pressure for which appropriate safety measures are required.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
