About the Role:
Our client is an international petroleum and exploration company, with a vision to deliver energy in a sustainable way.

Initially Perth based with ad-hoc trips offshore, the role will contribute to the successful delivery of their topside Phase 2B modifications to establish project delivery team capability and organisational needs for project execution.

The role will be an initial 12 month contract with the potential for the role to go rotational on a 3 week on/3 week off roster in 2025.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Ensure the welfare of personnel and the protection of assets and the environment at all times.
  • Actively participate in client and company safety programs and training as required.
  • Demonstrate HSE leadership by actively promoting HSE and quality policy and procedures to all personnel within the work environment.
  • Proactive role to identify and close hazards on worksite through the use of the Hazard Observation (HAZOB) Card, to be reported to HSE team during related activities.
  • Ensure all activities minimize the impact on the environment in line with Company’s policies and requirements.
  • Provide input into scope sequencing, optimization and scheduling of implementation and pre-commissioning activities.
  • Collaborate with the project site team ensuring work packs meet site needs and any installation concerns are addressed and if possible, engineered out.
  • Provide both detailed people hour estimates and trade splits for specific scopes of work.
  • Provide discipline specific knowledge and input into constructability and HAZID documentation and presentations.
  • Attend constructability and HAZID workshops.
  • Ensure documentation produced by the team is in line with project standards and meets or exceeds expectations.
  • Assist in identifying project risks and implement agreed mitigation measures as required.
  • Lead offshore implementation activities.
  • Ensure that the implementation contractors and any subcontractors are performing works in accordance with project specifications, in line with project schedule and priorities and policies.
  • Liaise with various interfaces for the resolution of engineering queries, material, or vendor issues, etc. to minimise the impact on implementation activities.

Key Skills and Experience Required:
  • Trade Background in relevant discipline or Tertiary Engineering Degree.
  • Extensive experience in the Oil & Gas industry, with demonstrated experience in a Lead role.
  • Multidisciplinary experience within large offshore projects.
  • Demonstrated experience within pre-commissioning and commissioning projects.
  • Valid TBOSIET & Offshore Medical.
  • Working knowledge of Upstream and downstream facility technologies within subsea, offshore processing facilities.
  • Highly competent, motivated person with good interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • High awareness of safe working practices associated with design, construction, pre-commissioning, installation, hook-up, and commissioning of oil & gas facilities.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written and the ability to influence a wide range of senior stakeholders to successfully support the objectives and outcomes of this role.
