Airswift is seeking an Accounting Analyst  to join our client’s team in Georgetown, Guyana.

Responsible for financial analysis and accounting functions. The professional will assist in key accounting tasks such as accounts receivable and Intercompany reconciliation, ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The professional will be involved in the preparation of financial reports, the analysis of financial data and will support internal and external audit.

Key Responsibilities

Execute the routines of intercompany receivables/revenues and third parties through controls that allow the assets to be properly presented and ensuring their realization.

Execute intercompany confirmations through internal controls that ensure that the information is properly processed and reported.

Execute the control and registration in the ERP system of the financial applications to ensure profitability and control of resources.

Perform billing together with third parties and related parties in accordance with current contracts and applied legislation.

Accompany and provide analysis regarding revenue and outstanding receivables (aging).

Create PO intercompany to receive/pay billings.

Conduct monthly and annual account reconciliations

Prepare and analyze financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

Record provisions, amortizations, and depreciations.

Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and financial regulations

Support internal and external audits by providing requested documentation and information

Review and monitor financial transactions to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations

Identify and correct accounting discrepancies

Prepare expense reports and variance analysis

Assist in the development and improvement of accounting processes

Requirements

  • The candidate must hold a relevant degree or ACCA certification.
  • Must be proficient in preparing financial statements.
  • Must have auditing experience.
  • Must be familiar with IFRS accounting standards and their application.
