Role Overview
- Supervise daily operations at the AES Base to ensure compliance with HSE standards.
- Conduct job risk and hazard assessments to identify potential safety issues.
- Manage the Permit to Work (PTW) system and ensure implementation of HSE controls.
- Perform regular inspections and HSE audits of facilities and equipment.
- Oversee waste management processes, including segregation and disposal.
- Organize and conduct HSE drills and facilitate committee meetings.
- Investigate incidents and unsafe situations, developing corrective action plans.
- Ensure availability and maintenance of HSE equipment on site.
- Identify training needs for personnel and organize necessary training sessions.
- Prepare reports and maintain HSE boards and trackers.
Skills & Qualifications
- HSE Expertise: Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Material Handling: Proficient in lifting operations using cranes, forklifts, and reach stackers.
- Communication Skills: Effective communicator with the ability to influence and motivate teams.
- Training Ability: Strong trainer capable of conducting safety inductions and workshops.
- Technical education or Engineering Degree (or equivalent).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in HSE supervisory roles.
- Certifications: Licensed DG Declarant (Sea, Air, Land), First Aid, Firefighting, Waste Management, Radiation Safety, Oil Spill Containment.
