We are seeking an AP Team Leader to oversee the Accounts Payable team and ensure the accurate and timely processing of both Belgian and international purchase invoices from receipt to payment. The role requires strong leadership, technical accounting expertise, and the ability to coordinate AP processes and stakeholders efficiently.
Responsibilities
Team & Process Management
Lead, support, and develop the Accounts Payable team.
Ensure accurate and timely handling of all purchase invoices (Belgian and foreign).
Oversee the invoice receipt and registration process.
Manage the Accounts Payable mailbox.
Approve exceptions in the CMP system.
Monitor AP-related projects.
Operational & Financial Tasks
Participate actively in the monthly closing process.
Manage and validate payment proposals.
Justify and reconcile supplier balances.
Monitor payment reminders and follow up accordingly.
Serve as the central point of contact for internal stakeholders and auditors/reviewers.
Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree (A1) in Accounting.
At least 5 years of professional experience in accounting.
Proven experience in team management.
Skills & Knowledge
Strong knowledge of accounting and VAT principles (essential).
Proficiency in SAP (mandatory).
Excellent command of MS Excel.
Fluent in French and/or Dutch.
Strong problem?solving abilities.
Punctual, communicative, and able to work under pressure.
