Airswift is looking for an Area Construction Manager to work on a 3?year contract (with possibility of extension) with one of our clients in Guyana.
Open to expats. Rotation 8/2 (single status).
Onshore?based role with offshore access, requiring previous offshore experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee construction activities within the assigned project scope (Topsides, Vessel, Integration, Brownfield, etc.).
  • Ensure all construction work complies with HSSE, Quality standards, schedule requirements, and budget.
  • Coordinate construction execution with engineering, procurement, yards, and project management teams.
  • Manage construction teams and subcontractors, promoting a strong safety culture and collaborative environment.
  • Develop and maintain construction schedules; monitor progress and implement corrective actions when needed.
  • Resolve technical issues and ensure construction meets design specifications and quality requirements.
  • Prepare and present progress reports to stakeholders, highlighting achievements and addressing concerns.
  • Identify risks, assess impacts, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project targets are met.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to the construction team, promoting continuous improvement and technical excellence.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Solid understanding of construction principles, HSSE regulations, and project management methodologies.

Experience:

  • 10+ years of progressive, hands?on construction experience within energy, construction, or related industries.
  • Proven ability to manage complex construction scopes and deliver projects successfully.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience managing multidisciplinary construction teams.
  • Previous offshore experience required, with willingness to access offshore facilities as needed.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of construction and commissioning activities.
  • Excellent risk management, project control, and stakeholder interface skills.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to manage third?party relationships.
  • Solid understanding of contractual and commercial processes.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and dynamic project environment.
