Our valued client, a key Oil & Gas owner client are seeking an Asset Integrity Engineer/Technologist - Upstream Pipelines on a long term contract basis in Calgary, AB.

Join a high-performing Asset Integrity team responsible for executing a wide range of inspection, repair, risk assessment, and corrosion management activities that ensure the effectiveness and reliability of pipeline systems. This role offers hands-on exposure to all technical aspects of pipeline integrity and close collaboration with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Safety teams.

As an Asset Integrity Engineer or Technologist, you’ll manage the full lifecycle of pipeline and piping assets within a designated production area. You’ll be responsible for developing and maintaining risk management plans, conducting engineering assessments, and leading failure and root cause analyses. This position offers the opportunity to take ownership of your area, contribute to strategic planning, and grow within a supportive technical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support upstream pipeline integrity management activities
  • Provide technical guidance and strategic direction to the integrity team
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align maintenance and inspection programs
  • Manage workload planning and execution to meet business objectives
  • Interface with regulators, vendors, and contractors on integrity-related matters
  • Incorporate operational feedback into integrity planning and execution

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of pipeline integrity experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and P.Eng designation (or eligibility), or Engineering Technologist diploma with ASET/APEGA registration (or eligibility)
  • Strong knowledge of CSA Z662 and relevant provincial/federal pipeline regulations
  • Experience with pipeline maintenance coordination and integrity management systems (e.g., Accumap, Maxi-Trak, Abacus, Maximo)
  • NACE/AMPP or API certifications considered an asset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license and a strong commitment to safety
