Join a leading exploration and production company in Papua New Guinea as an Aviation Superintendent, where you will play a crucial role in overseeing aviation activities and ensuring compliance with industry regulations in a challenging environment.

Role Overview

  • Oversee all aviation activities within the project, maximizing aircraft efficiency.
  • Plan and coordinate aircraft movements for daily flight schedules.
  • Manage flight following programs and ensure effective communication of relevant information.
  • Monitor aircraft maintenance schedules and develop contingency plans.
  • Lead daily aviation meetings to review flight schedules and address concerns.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for aviation activities.
  • Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly aviation activity reports.
  • Assess and improve the aviation organization within the affiliate.
  • Coach and mentor site personnel involved in aviation activities.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Dispatch and mobilization expertise.
  • Strong knowledge of traffic and logistics management.
  • Experience in air freight management and mobilization planning.
  • Understanding of transportation safety and accident investigation.
  • Proficient in travel coordination and transport management.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team environment.

Education & Experience

  • Qualifications: Industry experience as a pilot (RW, FW), aircraft engineer, or air traffic controller.
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years in the aviation industry required.
  • Desirable: Experience in Aviation Safety Management and accident/incident investigation.

Pay & Benefits

  • Competitive salary based on qualifications and experience.
  • Rotational work schedule (five weeks on, five weeks off) with 12-hour workdays.
