Join a leading exploration and production company in Papua New Guinea as an Aviation Superintendent, where you will play a crucial role in overseeing aviation activities and ensuring compliance with industry regulations in a challenging environment.
Role Overview
- Oversee all aviation activities within the project, maximizing aircraft efficiency.
- Plan and coordinate aircraft movements for daily flight schedules.
- Manage flight following programs and ensure effective communication of relevant information.
- Monitor aircraft maintenance schedules and develop contingency plans.
- Lead daily aviation meetings to review flight schedules and address concerns.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for aviation activities.
- Conduct inspections and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly aviation activity reports.
- Assess and improve the aviation organization within the affiliate.
- Coach and mentor site personnel involved in aviation activities.
Skills & Qualifications
- Dispatch and mobilization expertise.
- Strong knowledge of traffic and logistics management.
- Experience in air freight management and mobilization planning.
- Understanding of transportation safety and accident investigation.
- Proficient in travel coordination and transport management.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team environment.
Education & Experience
- Qualifications: Industry experience as a pilot (RW, FW), aircraft engineer, or air traffic controller.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years in the aviation industry required.
- Desirable: Experience in Aviation Safety Management and accident/incident investigation.
Pay & Benefits
- Competitive salary based on qualifications and experience.
- Rotational work schedule (five weeks on, five weeks off) with 12-hour workdays.
