Building Services Manager – Commercial Construction

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Building Services Manager to join our client's team and oversee the delivery of building services across major commercial construction projects. This role is pivotal in ensuring all mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and fire systems are designed, installed, and maintained to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate building services packages (HVAC, BMS, electrical, hydraulics, fire systems) throughout the project lifecycle.
- Oversee subcontractors and consultants to ensure compliance with design specifications, WHS regulations, and Australian Standards.
- Develop scopes of work, tender documentation, and project schedules.
- Monitor progress, quality, and budget for all building services works.
- Ensure statutory compliance under NCC, WHS legislation, and local authority requirements.
- Support sustainability initiatives (Green Star, NABERS, WELL ratings).
- Collaborate with project managers, site teams, and stakeholders to deliver seamless integration of services.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3+ years’ experience in building services management within commercial construction or property projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of base building systems (HVAC, electrical, hydraulics, fire safety).
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a live operational environment.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools (Procore, Aconex, MS Office).
- Working knowledge of WHS regulations, NCC, and Australian building codes.
