We are seeking a skilled Business Development Officer to drive fundraising and strategic partnerships for a prominent non-government organization dedicated to media freedom and ethics in Papua New Guinea.

Role Overview

  • Fundraising: Identify and pursue potential funding sources, including government grants and corporate sponsorships.
  • Strategic Partnerships: Develop and maintain partnerships with media outlets, educational institutions, and civil society organizations.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Business Development: Proven experience in fundraising and business development, particularly in the non-profit sector.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Grant Writing: Experience in writing and managing grant proposals.
  • Media Knowledge: Familiarity with the media landscape and regulatory environment in Papua New Guinea is advantageous.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Ethical Conduct: Commitment to ethical and transparent business development practices.
  • Risk Assessment: Experience in assessing risks associated with fundraising activities.
  • Database Management: Proficiency in managing membership databases, ensuring data integrity.

Education & Experience

  • Experience: Minimum of five years in fundraising and business development, especially in the non-profit sector.
