Mission description:
Department Overview
Within the Purchasing department, the Services team is responsible for sourcing a wide range of indirect purchases (Corporate). These include—among others—technical and environmental studies, negotiators, fleet management, facility management, auditors, and additional service-related categories.
Purchases within this scope are extensive, diverse, and strategically important for the organization.
The Group Buyer Services manages several product categories, representing a total annual expenditure of several tens of millions of euros, and negotiates framework agreements both at group level and for local entities.
This role acts as a strategic link between internal customers (& 50Hertz) and suppliers, ensuring purchasing excellence and alignment with business needs.
The position is part of the Group Services & Maintenance team and focuses on increasing the efficiency of purchasing processes, optimizing Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), leveraging synergies across the group, and ensuring value-added service for internal stakeholders.
Role & Responsibilities
As a Group Buyer Services, you directly contribute to the success of a dynamic, engaged, and collaborative team by:
Strategic Purchasing
Designing and implementing tender strategies that drive value, efficiency, and trust with internal customers when defining procurement needs.
Managing your assigned categories and contracts strategically, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
Defining and deploying a structured and innovative purchasing strategy across the group.
Operational Excellence
Identifying and executing synergies at group level to maximize purchasing power and efficiency.
Conducting detailed market research, analyzing supply markets, and developing sourcing strategies.
Negotiating European or local contracts, ensuring optimal conditions, risk management, and supplier performance.
Relationship & Stakeholder Management
Acting as a key intermediary between internal customers and suppliers.
Building strong, long-term relationships with major suppliers based on transparency and reliability.
Leading multifunctional teams to ensure smooth collaboration, structured decision-making, and high-quality project execution.
Requirements
Education & Experience
Master’s degree.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a purchasing role; experience in technical purchasing is an asset.
Proven experience in project management is considered an advantage.
Skills & Competencies
Fluent in English, French, and Dutch – all three languages are essential for the role.
Strong empathy and maturity, enabling trust-based relationships with customers, suppliers, and colleagues.
Excellent problem-solving ability with a capacity to view challenges from a global and strategic perspective.
Autonomous and confident in your role as a purchasing leader while being a strong team player.

Additional Information
Location:
Primary workplace is the office. Occasional travel to other may be required for meetings with internal customers and suppliers.
