We are supporting a leading multinational group in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) sector with the recruitment of a highly experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to be based in Barbados.
This is a strategic role for a financially solid, highly structured organization undergoing transformation and focused on strengthening its core business areas.
About the Role
The CFO will provide strategic financial leadership across multiple business units and markets.
This role will oversee financial governance, performance management, compliance, risk mitigation, and the development of long-term financial strategies aligned with group objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of financial strategies supporting long-term sustainability and growth.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and decision?support analysis.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting aligned with IFRS and Group policies.
- Drive effective cash flow, working capital, and liquidity management.
- Lead tax planning and compliance in multi-jurisdictional environments.
- Manage financial risks including currency exposure, credit, insurance, and investments.
- Oversee internal and external audits, ensuring transparency and readiness.
- Support strategic initiatives such as M&A, capital investments, and business transformation.
- Coach, mentor, and develop finance teams; ensure strong succession planning.
- Strengthen internal controls, governance practices, and policy compliance.
- Interface with Group Finance, auditors, regulatory bodies, and financial institutions.
- Champion digital finance, systems optimization, and technology?driven improvements.
Qualifications
- ACCA, CPA, or CIMA required.
- MBA or MSc in Finance/Accounting is an asset.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience managing full finance functions, preferably in manufacturing or FMCG.
- At least 5 years of supervisory experience leading finance teams.
- Proven experience managing multi-country or cross-functional operations.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, tax compliance, treasury, and financial systems.
