Join a leading construction firm as a Civil Lead III, where you will oversee the design and development of critical infrastructure projects in the dynamic environment of Papua New Guinea.
Role Overview
- Facilitate and coordinate discipline engineering technical work products.
- Coordinate and communicate various issues among the company's and contractor's engineering teams affecting design, safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Evaluate and comment on work performed by Contractors and sub-contractors to ensure adherence to specifications and standards.
- Identify and assess deviations to Contract Technical Specifications and regulatory requirements; maintain Deviation Control Log.
- Advise on process improvements and serve as a knowledge resource for the team.
- Steward discipline engineering queries from Contractors and sub-contractors.
- Keep Lead Engineer or Engineering Manager informed of progress, deviations, and execution concerns.
- Participate in discipline engineering reviews at Contractor's and subcontractor's locations.
- Drive and promote capital efficiency in engineering design.
- Support internal engineering initiatives as requested by Management.
Skills & Qualifications
- PMP Certification: Proven project management skills.
- Contract Management: Expertise in managing contracts effectively.
- Stakeholder Management: Ability to engage with various stakeholders.
- Civil Engineering Knowledge: Strong foundation in civil and structural engineering principles.
- Structural Safety Awareness: Understanding of safety criteria in engineering design.
- Site Project Management: Experience managing site activities efficiently.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Skilled in using Microsoft Office suite for documentation and communication.
- Fluent English: Strong verbal and written communication skills for technical and business contexts.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related engineering specialty, or equivalent professional experience.
- Previous experience in a closely related position is essential.
