Commissioning Manager

Airswift is seeking Commissioning Managers to work on a 12-months assignment with a leader in Energy delivery
Travel Requirements
- This is a project-based position that includes per diem and periodic home trips.
Project Review Responsibilities
Electrical IFR/IFC Drawings Review
(Include, but not limited to)
- Inverters: Make, model, maximum AC power
- Tracker Type: Make and model
- SCADA / Instrumentation Drawings
- Fiber Layouts: Useful for troubleshooting
- Meteorological (Met) Stations / Soiling Stations: Quantity, locations, installer
- RTDs / Reference Cells: Quantity, locations, and related details
PPA / GIA / ISO Requirements
The PM will be responsible for understanding requirements and executing or delegating related actions.
- Test Energy Forecast: Coordinate scheduling with the Solar Analytics Lead (analytics lead will submit).
- Capacity Test Procedures: Understand passing criteria, test duration, weather instrumentation expectations, and reliability expectations.
- COD Requirements: PPA / LGIA / ISO / Finance
- Inverter Commissioning: Hot and cold commissioning procedures
- Tracker Commissioning: Hot and cold commissioning procedures
- Energization Procedures: Collaborate with PM, EPC, and Substation Commissioning Manager to develop energization/de?energization procedures.
- Schedule Management: Participate in schedule review and alignment.
Onsite Duties
- Culture & Values: Align with company values—treat others with respect, act with integrity, and strive for excellence.
- Progress Reporting: Provide weekly and daily updates (trackers, milestones, delays) using standardized templates and distribution lists.
Document Review: Review testing documentation including:
- Inverter transformer testing
- VLF testing
- PV/DC VOC reports
- Grounding FOP/P2P
- Fiber testing
- Insulation resistance reports
- Meteorological station tests
- Hot Commissioning Support: Participate in daily calls as required to meet deadlines and maintain progress.
- Team Meetings: Attend daily construction POD meetings and weekly safety meetings.
Vendor Coordination: Schedule, coordinate, and oversee vendor activities. Ensure:
- Clear expectations and schedules
- Site training compliance
- Safety & PPE compliance
- Deliverables are received, reviewed, and stored properly
- Commissioning Log Management: Maintain and update the commissioning log and punch list.
- Vendor Management Calls: Attend global vendor resource meetings and communicate staffing needs, schedule changes, and deficiencies.
- Forecasting: Proactively identify and communicate potential delays, resource constraints, and schedule changes to the Commissioning Project Manager.
Cross?Team Coordination: Provide schedule updates and coordinate work with:
- SCADA Lead
- Integrator
- PM and Construction teams
- EPC team
- Substation Commissioning Manager
- Network Communications: Responsible for all network communication systems from the substation through the collection field (inverters, met stations, RTDs, reference cells, trackers). Provide troubleshooting and support for off?site SCADA teams.
