Job Summary:
The role is ideal for a motivated individual who thrives in a dynamic, field-based environment. The Construction Lead will oversee brownfield upstream well site construction and retrofits, managing projects from design review to execution. Responsibilities include supervising field crews, coordinating safety and commissioning activities, and supporting maintenance operations. The role involves close collaboration with operations and engineering teams to enhance reliability, production, and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily management of construction crews and projects
- Oversight of contractor work to ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards
- Participation in design reviews, site walkdowns, material selection, and cost tracking
- Implementation of improved construction practices
- Occasional corrective maintenance and troubleshooting
Qualifications:
- 10+ years in upstream oil and gas construction/maintenance
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Familiarity with P&ID’s and work management systems (e.g., SAP, Maximo)
- Experience with mechanical equipment, instrumentation, and rotating equipment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
Additional Duties:
- Manage contractor activities and operational priorities
- Ensure safe construction practices and compliance with safety systems
- Coordinate planning and execution of construction work
- Liaise with engineering teams and report safety or operational concerns
- Adhere to company procedures, values, and HSSE standards
