Airswift is seeking a Construction Project Manager to support the manufacturing industry in an initial 6-month contract in Lathrop, CA.
Our client is seeking a Construction Project Manager to support large-scale industrial and manufacturing construction initiatives. This role will act as the owner’s on-site construction lead, overseeing daily execution, coordinating trade contractors, ensuring safety compliance, and driving projects from installation through start of production.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all onsite construction activities, ensuring alignment with project scope, schedule, and budget.
- Supervise trade contractors and vendor tool installations, including scheduling, coordination, and compliance monitoring.
- Resolve day-to-day construction issues, conduct field inspections, and verify work against plans and specifications.
- Deliver design-build and self-performed construction projects with emphasis on safety, quality, and operational readiness.
- Monitor project progress to ensure on-time or ahead of schedule delivery.
- Communicate project risks, blockers, and successes clearly through efficient visual and written methods.
- Drive a proactive, can-do attitude among stakeholders to maintain alignment with project goals.
- Track and analyze project costs; challenge design revisions, RFIs, and change orders to ensure optimal value.
- Collaborate closely with Project Management, Engineering, Project Controls, and Procurement teams throughout project execution.
- Work with minimal oversight, taking ownership of decision-making and issue resolution.
Skills & Competencies
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, life safety, and controls scopes.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and cost documents.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, Bluebeam, and construction cost/data analysis.
- Hands-on capability to support field activities as needed.

Experience, Qualifications & Education
- Degree in Construction Management or equivalent; Construction Management degree strongly preferred.
- 6+ years of experience in large commercial or industrial construction projects (minimum 5 years required).
- Demonstrated success managing complex, fast-paced construction environments.
- Experience supporting commissioning, system integration, or manufacturing environments preferred.
- Experience with RFIs, change orders, and cost analysis processes.
