Construction Quality Engineer
Join our dynamic team as a Construction Quality Engineer, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality standards during the construction of safe and reliable Oil & Gas facilities. This is an exciting opportunity to work full-time on a contract basis in Luanda, Angola, contributing to significant projects in the energy sector.
Role Overview
Oversee construction quality activities, ensuring alignment with quality plans, inspection test plans (ITPs), and project requirements.
Coordinate inspections, tests, and verifications with construction teams, subcontractors, and third-party inspectors.
Identify and manage non-conformities, ensuring corrective actions are effectively implemented and documented.
Support the development and implementation of quality control procedures and construction method statements.
Contribute to contractor quality performance assessments and proactively support improvements.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and quality documentation to support traceability and final project dossiers.
Participate in audits and reviews to verify compliance with quality assurance systems and regulatory standards.
Promote a quality culture within the site construction teams, reinforcing expectations through coaching and day-to-day interactions.
Skills & Qualifications
Strong knowledge of FPSO/FSU/FSO operations.
Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional languages is beneficial.
Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards.
Experience in welding, NDT, and materials inspection.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or related discipline) or equivalent.
Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or similar certification is a plus.
Minimum 5 years of experience in construction quality management within the Oil & Gas sector.
