Job Purpose
- Support as an expert the Compression EPC Contractor for safe and successful execution of CP Topsides coating & insulation work scopes to meet overall project objectives by ensuring HSE, Quality, Planning, and efficient delivery of the Compression Project.
- Ensure constructability of the design is consistent with established engineering drawings, industry processes, and standards.
- Effectively manage issues and resolutions through strong interfaces between company and contractor teams, maintaining alignment during fabrication execution.
Job Context & Major Challenges
- Direct involvement in developing fabrication plans and overseeing onshore fabrication scope for coating & insulation activities.
- Ensure sufficient resources and technical expertise for stakeholders, including efficient deployment to support CP Topsides yard activities.
- Major challenge: maintaining strong interfaces between Company and Contractor teams to ensure alignment and resolve issues.
Key Job Accountabilities
- Ensure adherence to all safety protocols and regulations during fabrication.
- Manage and ensure successful execution of coating & insulation fabrication activities according to Safety, Quality, Schedule, and other project priorities.
- Provide specialist support to Contractor/Subcontractors to ensure compliance with contractual requirements, project documentation, and international standards.
- Check constructability aspects and technical compliance of Engineering Contractor deliverables.
- Review deviations to [REDACTED] construction standards and ensure consistency in dossiers (materials, documents, as?built, etc.).
- Identify concerns related to progress and/or quality and recommend corrective actions.
- Review Contractor progress reports, highlighting critical issues, drifts, or dysfunctions.
- Liaise with Contractor/Subcontractor on all coating & insulation topics to ensure progress follow?up and reporting.
- Participate in Risk Assessments, Pre?Job Meetings, and technical meetings.
- Participate in REX and Lessons Learned for the Company.
Minimum Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Sciences or Engineering.
Knowledge & Experience
- Minimum 8 years’ experience in large construction-related projects (fabrication, installation, execution, completion, hook?up, etc.) within the Oil & Gas industry.
- Must have expert-level experience in coating & insulation.
- Additional experience may substitute formal education.
- Strong knowledge of project execution, field management, fabrication, welding, lifting, mechanical testing, and completions.
- Experience with Oil & Gas companies, contractors, service companies, or heavy construction companies.
- Knowledge of design standards, specifications, codes, and safety criteria related to fabrication, transport, installation, brownfield execution, and hook?up.
- Knowledge of offshore and onshore facility operations or yard operations.
- Familiarity with execution risks related to sour gas and LNG facilities.
- Experience working in large operating organizations
