One of our clients, a major oil and gas company based in Calgary, is seeking an HRIS Analyst to join their Enterprise Data and IT team for a 12-month in-office contract. Reporting to the Manager of HRIS, this role offers an exciting opportunity to support and enhance Workday systems across multiple HR functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, test, and support Workday system releases and maintenance activities.
  • Configure and maintain various Workday modules including HCM, Recruiting, Learning, Compensation, and Talent Management.
  • Provide day-to-day support for HR system users, including troubleshooting and data fixes.
  • Ensure data integrity, confidentiality, and availability through robust security configuration and monitoring.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to streamline HRIS processes and systems.
  • Participate in data validation, testing, and project work.
  • Stay informed on evolving technical and business capabilities.
  • Ensure SOX compliance with zero non-remediated findings.
  • Align with Enterprise Architecture standards for system integration.
  • Support control activities and risk evaluation.
  • Be available for emergency after-hours support escalations.

Qualifications:

  • Legally entitled to work in Canada.
  • Based in Calgary and available to work in-office.
  • Post-secondary degree or diploma in HR or IT-related field.
  • 8+ years of relevant work experience.
  • 4+ years in a business systems analyst role with hands-on Workday experience.
  • Strong functional, technical, and analytical skills in Workday configuration and maintenance.
  • Ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences and provide effective training.
  • Experience designing and maintaining Workday business processes and workflows.
  • Strong documentation skills for system configurations and testing procedures.
  • Familiarity with SOX compliance and IT audit protocols.
  • Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
  • High attention to detail and strong analytical thinking.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
  • Demonstrated discretion, initiative, and sound judgment.
  • Solid understanding of HR policies and compliance.
  • Willingness to learn SAP to support Workday-SAP integrations.
