Contracts Advisor - Digital & Technology

Location: Perth

Duration: 12-month contract (subjects to extension)

Working closely with the Contracts & Procurement (C&P) Manager and the Team Lead – Enterprise Digital / IT, you will lead sourcing and contracting activities that support the diverse Digital & Technology needs of a top?ten global energy company.
This role is suited to someone who thrives in a fast?paced environment, enjoys stakeholder engagement, and has strong commercial acumen across technology categories.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead end?to?end sourcing activities across Digital & Technology pillars, including:

  • Reserves & Subsurface
  • Technology & Innovation
  • Telecommunications
  • IT
  • Cybersecurity
  • Digital / AI
  • Enterprise Systems
  • Capital project technology requirements
  • Manage end?to?end sourcing activities for corporate stakeholders with digital?related contracting needs
  • Engage stakeholders to understand business requirements and advise on:

  • Contracting strategies
  • Sourcing approaches
  • Opportunities to reduce total cost of ownership (TCO)
  • Lead negotiations on commercial and contractual terms, ensuring outcomes align with organisational risk tolerance
  • Develop and maintain reporting and analytics to support the ongoing maturity of the Technical Services category
  • Provide flexibility and support across portfolios as needed
  • Conduct all sourcing activities in a highly ethical, compliant, and professional manner, consistent with procurement governance standards

    Skills & Experience

    • University degree in business, finance, supply chain, or related discipline, or equivalent experience in contracting and procurement
    • Demonstrated experience procuring technology products, services, and solutions, or the ability to rapidly adapt existing procurement expertise to a new category
    • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage at all organisational levels
    • Highly organised self?starter capable of managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
    • Positive, proactive team player who works effectively with people from varied disciplines and backgrounds
    • Strong understanding of procurement ethics, governance, and responsible sourcing principles
