About the Role
Airswift is seeking a Contracts Adviser – New Energy and Carbon APAC to join our client’s team in Perth. This role is a key member of the contracts team, responsible for leading and driving commercial outcomes across multiple divisions, including BD & Origination New Energy, Engineering and Technology, and Carbon Solutions.
You will manage the full contracting lifecycle, from market engagement and tendering to negotiation and post-award contract management. This position plays a critical role in supporting our client’s strategic focus on New Energy and Carbon projects, which include hydrogen production, carbon capture and storage, and carbon credit origination farming—helping achieve net zero emissions by 2050.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead contractual and commercial outcomes across BD&O APAC New Energy, Engineering & Technology, and Carbon Solutions portfolios.
- Ensure compliance with Contracting Work Instructions and company standards.
- Manage the full contracting lifecycle: Category Strategies, Contracting Plans, RFx, Negotiation Plans, Tender Evaluation, Contract Approval, Variations, and associated documentation.
- Identify and pursue commercial and cost-saving opportunities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure accurate evaluation criteria, terms & conditions, and departures.
- Provide visibility and representation of commercial matters in project planning and strategy development.
- Ensure delivery of business needs to schedule, cost, and quality.
- Compile and monitor vendor market intelligence.
Skills & Experience
- Degree in Business, Commerce, Law, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or similar.
- Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a Category Specialist or Contracts Advisory role.
- Proven experience managing full tender lifecycle, particularly strategy and pre-award stages.
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Effective written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
- Ability to make sound decisions under uncertainty and risk, balancing technical, cost, and schedule considerations.
- Resilient, adaptable, and passionate about working on demanding projects.
