About the Role
Airswift is recruiting on behalf of a leading global engineering company for a Control & Safety System Engineer. This position is part of a major Oil & Gas project and offers an exciting opportunity to work on advanced Integrated Control & Safety Systems (ICSS), ensuring compliance with international standards and project quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and adapt technical specifications for DCS and SIS systems.
- Develop and refine ICSS control-command architectures and participate in basic and detailed ICSS studies.
- Manage interfaces between internal engineering disciplines and external partners, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Validate installation aspects of control, safety, and fire & gas systems (e.g., cabinet quantities, standard loops).
Prepare functional specifications, including:
- Functional analysis
- Narrative control
- Cause-and-effect matrices
- Logic diagrams
- Follow up on functional safety studies and ensure compliance with project quality plans.
- Produce high-quality documentation in English, meeting technical and presentation standards.
Report to the Lead Engineer and adhere to project schedules and best practices.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Control & Safety Systems within Oil & Gas projects (onshore/offshore).
- Strong knowledge of ICSS, DCS, SIS, and F&G processes.
- Familiarity with installation and validation aspects of ICSS systems.
Proficient in relevant standards:
- ISA 5.x series
- IEC 61511 (Functional Safety)
- IEC 62443 (Industrial Cybersecurity)

Required Skills & Qualifications
- IEC 61511 certification (e.g., TÜV / QUALI-SIL) is a plus.
- Skilled in MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio).
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
- Strong communication and coordination skills across multidisciplinary teams.
