One of our major oil and gas clients is seeking a Cost Analyst to work on a 12 - month assignment in their facilities in Houston, TX.
Summary:
The Cost Specialist (Projects) will support cost management activities across major EPC and oil & gas projects.
Responsibilities:
- Developing and maintaining project cost reports, forecasts, and variance analyses.
- Monitoring expenditures against budgets and identifying potential overruns.
- Supporting cost estimates and budgets for new projects and change orders.
- Collaborating with Project Managers, Planners, and Finance teams to provide financial insights.
- Preparing and presenting cost performance reports to stakeholders.
- Reviewing invoices, purchase orders, and contracts for compliance.
- Maintaining cost control systems and ensuring data integrity in EcoSys.
- Assisting in cash flow forecasting and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of project execution processes.
- Experience with major EPCs or oil & gas operators.
- SAP experience.
- Familiarity with project planning and scheduling.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certifications (AACE CCP, PMP, or similar) preferred.
- Proficiency in EcoSys and PowerBI.
