One of our major oil and gas clients is seeking a Cost Analyst to work on a 12 - month assignment in their facilities in Houston, TX.

Summary:

 The Cost Specialist (Projects) will support cost management activities across major EPC and oil & gas projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and maintaining project cost reports, forecasts, and variance analyses.
  • Monitoring expenditures against budgets and identifying potential overruns.
  • Supporting cost estimates and budgets for new projects and change orders.
  • Collaborating with Project Managers, Planners, and Finance teams to provide financial insights.
  • Preparing and presenting cost performance reports to stakeholders.
  • Reviewing invoices, purchase orders, and contracts for compliance.
  • Maintaining cost control systems and ensuring data integrity in EcoSys.
  • Assisting in cash flow forecasting and identifying cost-saving opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of project execution processes.
  • Experience with major EPCs or oil & gas operators.
  • SAP experience.
  • Familiarity with project planning and scheduling.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional certifications (AACE CCP, PMP, or similar) preferred.
  • Proficiency in EcoSys and PowerBI.
