The Role
Airswift’s Paris team is recruiting a Cost Controller to support the financial governance of a major EPC project.
Working closely with the Cost Control Manager and cross-functional project teams, you will be responsible for monitoring project financial performance, ensuring cost accuracy, preparing forecasts, and delivering high-quality reporting.
This role requires strong analytical capabilities, technical rigor, and the ability to operate efficiently in an international, multicultural environment.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Control & Forecasting :
- Estimate project Total Cost at Completion for complex projects.
- Develop, update, and maintain project budgets and forecasting models
- Monitor financial performance and analyze variances across all cost categories
Cost Control Procedures
- Implement and maintain Cost Control Procedures , tools, and processes
- Deploy internal digital solutions and ensure adoption of the latest enhancements
Risk, Commitments & change management
- Support the Risk Manager in the Quantitative Risk Analysis
- Approve commitment control and supplier/subcontractor invoices.
- Prepare, monitor, and justify Change Orders/ Claims
Reporting & PMR
- Support the Cost Control Manager in preparing monthly Project Management Review (PMR) reports
- Contribute to the preparation of external reports for the client
- Provide reliable performance data to assist Project Managers in profit optimization
Profile
Experience
- 4–8 years of experience in Cost Control or a similar function
- At least 2 years in Engineering & Construction project environments (ideal)
- Previous involvement in EPC / industrial projects is a strong advantage
Technical Skills
- Strong proficiency with Excel (advanced level)
- Solid understanding of cost tracking, forecasting, risk analysis, and financial reporting
- Experience with project documentation, vendor invoices, and commitment control
Soft Skills
- Rigorous, analytical, and detail-oriented
- Strong communication skills in multicultural environments
- Ability to work autonomously while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
