We are working with a Middle East client to recruit a Cost Engineer, to work in Reading project office in UK. In this role you will be responsible for managing costs on major Middle East project scope.

Role Overview

  • Develop and maintain cost reports, cash flow, and contingency analyses for individual projects.
  • Provide accurate cost estimates for project activities.
  • Administer Change Orders and Bid box as per procedure.
  • Estimate costs of scope changes and assess their impact on total project cost.
  • Ensure accurate reflection of committed/spent funds and project execution changes in cost documents.
  • Assist with managing existing and amended AEL values.
  • Liaise with HR to monitor billable office space for the project.
  • Forecast all funds required to complete the project within budget and schedule.
  • Ensure accurate representation of cost data in reporting.
  • Alert relevant offices and project team to critical Cost Management issues.
  • Assist with additional cost management studies and scenarios as needed.
  • Prepare and update monthly project updates (MPU).
  • Review Contractor Progress Payment Certificates for Engineering, Procurement, and Construction.
  • Process Service Entry Sheets through SAP post-invoice approval.
  • Create Purchase Orders and correct WBS through SAP.
  • Monitor, analyze, and verify project Controllable Costs monthly.
  • Manage Change Management processes from COR to settlement.
  • Communicate project issues/concerns directly to Project Manager and Business Administrator.

  • Budget Management
  • SAP proficiency (optional)

Education & Experience

  • Degree in a relevant discipline.
  • 5-10 years of experience in Cost Management, with a minimum of 3 years on Middle East Projects.
  • Experience in Mega Capital Projects preferred.
