Job Title: Cybersecurity Engineer

Position Overview
The Cybersecurity Engineer will serve as the focal point for all cybersecurity-related activities within the Project. This role ensures robust cybersecurity engineering design and compliance throughout the project lifecycle, from engineering and procurement to fabrication, installation, and commissioning. The position requires close coordination with internal teams, contractors, and vendors to deliver secure and reliable systems aligned with company standards and international best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Cybersecurity Engineering & Compliance
- Ensure engineering dossiers include a comprehensive cybersecurity design that meets company standards, project specifications, and Statement of Requirements (SOR).
- Monitor and guide cybersecurity activities performed by ICSS OEMs, contractors, and integrators to ensure compliance and reliability.
- Act as the cybersecurity representative during audits and inspections for ICSS and related systems (Telecom, MMS, ECS, Turbomachinery).
- Participate in equipment cybersecurity testing (DVT, FAT, IFAT, YAT, SAT) at vendor sites and fabrication yards.
- Ensure closure of cybersecurity-related issues and maintain accurate tracking of punch lists.
Design Review & Optimization
- Review and comment on cybersecurity-related documents in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with standards and contractual requirements.
- Identify opportunities for design optimization and value engineering to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
- Process derogation requests and secure necessary approvals in coordination with company DBS Cybersecurity team.
- Validate final project documentation, including as-built drawings and dossiers.
Coordination & Interface Management
- Serve as the single point of contact for all cybersecurity matters across RUYA B1 packages (CPP, RP, WHP, Pipelines).
- Maintain regular interface with disciplines such as ICSS, Electrical, Telecom, Instrumentation, and company DBS Cybersecurity team.
- Support project audits, HAZOP, Cyber PHA (Cyber Risk Assessment), SIL, and HAZID studies.
- Participate in weekly engineering meetings and provide progress reports on cybersecurity deliverables.
Project Context
- Project involves greenfield and brownfield developments, including new offshore platforms, riser platforms, central processing facilities, subsea pipelines, and integration works.
- The project spans multiple international sites and requires coordination across complex interfaces.
- Engineering development will occur at OEM vendor locations, contractor premises, and fabrication yards, with potential worldwide missions.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Engineering degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Control Systems.
Experience:
- 10–15 years in ICSS and package cybersecurity engineering within offshore oil & gas projects.
- Proven experience in cybersecurity risk assessments and implementation of risk treatment plans.
Technical Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of ISA99/IEC 62443, ISA/IEC 61511, NIST, and Qatar ICS security standards.
- Familiarity with Total general specifications and international codes.
Certifications:
- Offshore certifications (OPITO T-BOSEIT, OPITO H2S, QE pass, medical fitness).
- ICS Security certifications (ISA99/IEC 62443, GICSP, CISSP) preferred.
Skills:
- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in cybersecurity design software.
- Language: Fluent English.
