Document Controller
Location: Qatar
Position Summary
The Document Controller will be responsible for managing, controlling, and maintaining all project documentation related to the QatarEnergy LNG NFW Pipeline FEED scope. This role ensures that all engineering, vendor, and project documents are accurately registered, distributed, tracked, and archived in accordance with McDermott and QatarEnergy LNG document control procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Document Management
- Maintain the project’s electronic document management system (EDMS).
- Register, upload, and update all incoming/outgoing documents, drawings, transmittals, and correspondence.
- Ensure proper document numbering, version control, revision accuracy, and metadata completeness.
Distribution & Tracking
- Distribute documents to project teams and client parties as per distribution matrices.
- Track document submissions, review cycles, approvals, and outstanding actions.
Quality & Compliance
- Enforce project document control procedures and standards.
- Perform routine audits to ensure document integrity and compliance.
Interface & Coordination
- Liaise with engineering leads and QatarEnergy LNG document control teams.
- Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors for documentation submissions.
Archiving & Closeout
- Maintain structured digital and hard-copy filing systems.
- Prepare final documentation packages and assist with project closeout.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 5–8 years of experience in document control; 3+ years in Oil & Gas FEED/EPC projects.
- Experience with QatarEnergy LNG standards is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Proficient in EDMS platforms such as Aconex, Documentum, or SharePoint.
- Strong knowledge of revision control and workflow processes.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Reports to: Project Document Control Lead / Project Controls Manager
Interfaces with: Engineering, procurement, QA/QC, PMT, vendors, and QatarEnergy LNG representatives
